Seamless Integration comes to Virtual Box
September 8, 2007
I recently converted from using Windows to start using Ubuntu Linux, but as a programmer and web designer I realised the need to have access to Windows, so I installed Virtual Box, it meant that I could run Windows XP in a window in Linux but it meant each time that I had to dedicate one of my 4 desktops to that, I tried to get it to seemlessely work like in some tutorials on the web but sadly never quite achieved it, so you can imagine how happy I was when I heard that the latest edition of Virtual Box, version 1.5 was released and it came with Seamless Integration built it, woop!
I now have it running nicely as you can see from the screenshot (click the image for full view), there are a few things that are still missing in Virtual Box (see here for the best and worst bits of the new release). All I can say though is that I am happy although there are a few problems that need to be addressed, it has certainly made my day.
Thank you to the Virtual Box team.
